Fruit Of The Spirit

Note:    Gifts of the Spirit are a result of God working through  you
            Fruit of the Spirit is the result of God working in  you

Note:    Fruit  is given by God to help you grow spiritually      
            Gifts  are given by God so you can help others grow spiritually

I.   v 22,23  Love.  Agape type- a distinctive mark of a Christian
            1 John 4:20   we must do what we say
            Ephesians 5:2  we must live a life of agape love

II.  Joy.  Even with tears in our eyes, we can have joyful hearts !
            Isaiah 61:10  because He has clothed us

III.  Peace.  A tranquility of mind based upon a relationship with God
            Isaiah 26: 3,4  He will keep you in perfect peace
            Philippians 4:7  The peace of God transcends

IV.  Patience.  Long-suffering, tolerance, steadfastness under stress
            John 13:35   We must tolerate one another

V.  Kindness.  Gentleness, tenderness, sympathetic
            II Timothy 2:24   A must for a believer’s testimony

VI.  Goodness.  Moral excellence, spiritual excellence , Godly character
            Romans 15:13,14  By the Holy Spirit’s power
            Galatians 6:10   Do good to all men

VII.  Faithfulness.  Submissive to the will of God
            Hebrews 11:8-10  Abraham is an example of faithfulness

VIII.  Gentleness.  Meekness, not timid, mildness working with others
            Acts 4:18-20  Boldness for the work of the Lord  (v.8)
            I Peter 3:4  Of great value to God

IX.  Self Control.  Temperance, mastery over self desires
            Proverbs 25:16  Learn to not over indulge

v. 24-26  The Fruit of the Spirit-  is a process from the inside out
Christian victory is the result:  Colossians 1:10,11;   Colossians 3:17,24
