The Great Makeover

         “...and it shall be, every one - whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, he shall be saved.”      Acts 2:21 YLT

  Do you pray for opportunities to share who Jesus Christ is to your friends?  It begins with knowing what Jesus did for you and simply sharing that story as Peter did.  Keep praying and be available to help your neighbor with a makeover.  It is we, the church family, that can transform our community, society and world by our example.

I.  vs. 40-42  It Begins With You

*  be devoted to studying God’s Word in some way

*  surround yourself on a daily basis with Christian music & teaching

*  listen to and support Christian radio and media programming

II.  vs. 44-46  Value The Church Family

            Hebrews 10:25  make church meetings your priority

*  a key theme in verses 44-46 is,  “share”

         Galatians 6:1,2  empathize with and validate each others value

            Matthew 18:15-17  respect one another’s contribution

            Romans 12:9,10  honor and protect church family unity

            Ephesians 4:29  edify and encourage one another

III.  vs. 43,46,47  Worship In God’s Presence  

            Acts 4:23,24  worship through prayer

*  prayer time and prayer meetings are important for building unity

            Psalms 46:10  recognize the awesome beauty of God

*  Paul and Silas sang songs-  resulting in their release   ( Acts 16 )

            Psalms 71:7.8  make praising the Lord your habit

People’s eternal lives are in the balance-  there is a huge reward !
