Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who tells of peace and brings good news of happiness, who tells of saving power, and says to Zion , "Your God rules!"    Isaiah 52:7 (NLV)

READ: LUKE 8:35

“Feet that no doubt were fondly caressed by an adoring mother in the manger, that pitter pattered around the carpenter shop,  that as a youngster were supposed to follow the family home from the temple,  but stayed there with the leaders.  Those feet stepped into the Jordan at baptism,  stood on the mount preaching,  walked a  thousand miles helping,  and ran to the hurting.  They kicked over the tables of those who made His house a mockery.  Those feet shook the dust from the places which rejected Him,  and moved on to another place.  They walked on water just as they walked on dusty streets,  they didn’t turn and run when His accusers approached,  but rather they walked up the hill to Golgatha and were nailed to a cross.  They crushed the head of the serpent and then they walked out of the tomb.  They walked the road to Emmaus with His disciples then they left the ground at His ascension; just as ours will at His return.  Seven years later those glorious feet will once again touch down on earth to set up His kingdom forever.”                                           Jerry Shirley

Letting down her hair, she dried his feet, kissed them, and anointed them with the perfume.
