Physical Food - Spiritual Need

Jesus tells His disciples to get away for some rest- But His
overwhelming compassion for the multitude’s needs came first.

Read Mark 6:30-44

v30-40   Two views of the crowd of people:  nuisance vs  nurture
            1)  Disciples solution: a) send them all away
                                             b) raise enough money to buy them food

            2)  Jesus’ solution: a) saw the opportunity to trust His Father
                                            b) glorify God by faith & prayer     

            *  Jesus proves is disciples faith           (see:  John 6:5-9)

v41   Jesus’ solution was to bless: 1) Food  2)  People

Note:  We are not manufacturers of God’s goodness & compassion-  We are only His distributors.

The multitude wanted the gift, but not the giver !    Jn. 12:37

v42  Notice that they all ate - both the disciples and the crowd

Jesus will satisfy the emptiness in your life today-
Trust Him !
