Nothing To Lose

Everything To Gain !  

Philippians 3:1-15

Phil. 1:21   “ For me to live is Christ....”
Paul did not live for the moment-  but rather, for his rightful future with Christ !
1 Tim. 6:6,7,17  Godliness with contentment is great gain
Galatians 2:20   crucified with Christ
The Lord wants us to be consumed with him and his purpose !

Vs 5-8  Paul’s Loss
It’s pointless to trust in your own achievements
v7  our own accomplishments amount to nothing

Vs 9-11  Paul’s Longing
v9  To be found in Him - His will, His way, His purpose for me
v10  To know (experience) His riches

Vs 12-15  Paul’s Living
v13,14  Paul lived to fulfill his longing of fellowship with Christ
II Timothy 4:7,8  the reward for faithfulness to Christ
Romans 8:18   glory to come

In Christ We Can: 

                                                lose eternal hell and gain heaven
                                                lose weeping and gain laughter
                                                lose heartache and gain happiness
                                                lose condemnation and gain justification
                                                lose destruction and gain restoration
                                                lose foolishness and gain wisdom
                                                lose confusion and gain comfort
                                                lose despair and gain delight
