Ultimate Wholeness

Start Walking Anew
“But when Jesus heard it, He replied, Those who are strong and well (healthy) have no need of a physician, but those who are weak and sick. 13... For I came not to call and invite [to repentance] the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), but sinners (the erring ones and all those not free from sin)”.
Matt. 9:12,13b (Amp)

Wholeness  (physical, mental, spiritual)  begins once a relationship with God is established.  Ultimately, He wants to make us spiritually whole !

Read: John 5:1-18
3 examples of Christ’s healing:
1) chapter 4:39-42  woman at the well  (spiritual)
2) chapter 4:50-53 nobleman- government official  (faith)
3) chapter 5:8  lame man  (physical)
The key to Christ’s healing :
"It's urgent that you listen carefully to this: Anyone here who believes what I am saying right now and aligns himself with the Father, who has in fact put me in charge, has at this very moment the real, lasting life and is no longer condemned to be an outsider. This person has taken a giant step from the world of the dead to the world of the living. John 5:24 (Msg)
Jesus show His mercy by interacting with the infirmed !
v6 : the question ;    v8 :  the solution
“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:12 ,13 (NIV)

v10  Instead of rejoicing in the healing, the Jewish leaders condemned the man for carrying his bed on the Sabbath- what else could they say other than he was breaking the Law
Why? v 37-42  because the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sanhedrin were pricked in their hearts at the mercy and compassion Jesus showed to one who needed help !  (physical and spiritual) -
His promise is that we too can be made spiritually whole!
“And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life.” 1Jn 5:11 ,12 (Amp)
