Are You
God’s Bread Man?
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the
laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the
harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Matthew
Our God is a God of miracles, and nothing is impossible with Him!
He can meet every need that arises. Feeding
5,000 + with a couple of fish
and loaves of bread was a small
thing for Him. He is still working miracles today. Bring what you have to Jesus
and trust Him to bless it for Hs Kingdom purposes-
then obey what He commands. Read:
Matthew 14:14-21
(Mark
People today still have many hungers : a)
A Physical Hunger *
1/3 of the world is underfed, 1/3 is starving- many, even in *
Jesus met physical needs before spiritual needs-
the crowd didn’t have to be fed, but Jesus
used it as an opportunity to teach b)
Emotional Hunger
II Timothy 3:3 man by nature is
self centered *
they are hungry for acceptance, understanding, and unconditional love *
they are looking for meaning in life *
searching for something “real” in this life of empty unfulfilling
“now” gratification c)
Spiritual Hunger
John 6:35, 47-51 Jesus fills that
need- eternally *
there is a need in all of our lives for forgiveness *
there is a need to be cleansed of sin *
there is a need to fill the emptiness and void in our spiritual soul II. v15-18
The
Provider (
v17,18) master creator * the little bit you
hold in your hands, in Jesus’
hands is multiplied! *
Mark 6:39,40 Jesus tells His disciples to organize the crowd *
our God is a God of Love and order *
it is evident in His perfect plan of salvation III.
v19-21 The Lesson *
Jesus could have distributed the food, but he chooses us to do it for Him *
we don’t multiply the bread, but we are called upon to be the ones who
distribute *
Jesus told His disciples, “ you feed them” *
start with what you have- don’t
wait for everything to be perfect *
have some faith to give Him what you have *
He takes us where we are and uses what we have to give Him *
sometimes the problem is not knowing what to do- but doing what you know.
Let Him use you. Let’s be God’s bread delivery men! |
